Jess Morton is web series journalist with a BA Honors from York University in Film Studies and Professional Writing (journalism). Since 2013 Morton has periodically interviewed some of the key web series players in Canada.

During her research Morton has networked with several members of the acting board of the Independent Webseries Creators of Canada, or the IWCC. Morton was kindly invited to host the IWCC Launch on May 21, 2013, where she interviewed guests on a livestream.

In May 2015, Morton also conducted interviews for the IWCC at the second annual T.O. WebFest working alongside Courtney Wolfson, Nicolas Di Lollo, Dan Speerin, and Emilia Zboralska.
