Ruby Skye Season 3 Premieres with Kid's CBC
July 12, 2014

Yesterday Kid’s CBC released the first episode of Ruby Skye P.I. – The Maltese Puppy on their official YouTube Channel. According to an official press release, Kid’s CBC acquired the rights to Ruby Skye P.I. Season 1 and 2, and helped fund a third season.
The CBC is airing the episodes online first, in keeping with the spirit of web series, and then in October, CBC will air them again on Saturdays during the kid’s morning block. Another perk from the CBC distribution deal is the Ruby Skye’s How To Be A P.I. videos. These CBC-commissioned TV spots serve as quick tips for anyone looking to brush up their detective skills. The one-minute specials go live just after 9am Saturday mornings.
For Season 3 Ruby stumbles upon a new mystery involving a missing donation of toys from children’s charity. Along the way she brings home a lost dog and her sister Hailey gets a little too attached. This season of Ruby Skye features 11 episodes with new characters and lots of puppy love.
The creators also gave audiences something to look forward to for transmedia. Meaning, that viewers will have extra Ruby Skye content to click, read, watch, and solve. This time around the show has new content on the Official Website, the O’Deary Library Website, and the Tumblr page.
Another thing to look out for is the Digital Case Files from each episode on Kid’s CBC website. Episode 1 for example has Ruby’s case notes on the bottom of the page, after a gallery of cute dog pictures of course.
The team from Ruby Skye has given fans a neat choice by publishing content for both the story world and behind the scenes. As much of this interactive content fits into the story, The Press Pass will include links to any bonus content with each episode review. Read the review for Episode 1 here.
